On May 16 and 17, 2009, Waialua Robotics coordinator Glenn Lee and mentor Randy Wood attended the Micro Robotics Workshop held at Waiakea High School by the Waiakea East Hawaii Alliance. At this workshop they received an overview of the Micro Robotics Competition and what will be happening this year. Participants learned what type of skills is required for building different micro robots. They even took a look at previous robots by Waiakea and other competitors. Participants even got a look at Brushbot examples and the building of Brushbots which includes Waiakea’s “Easybot” Kit. This workshop was put together to get others in Hawaii interested in Micro Robotics and members from the Waialua Robotics Program thought it was a very fascinating program.
