AFCEA

Entrance ROC Sign Chairman'sGroup

On Wednesday, November 2, 2011 a few members of Team 359 traveled to the Sheraton Waikiki and Royal Hawaiian Hotels to attend the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association’s (AFCEA) 26th Annual Conference and Exposition. AFCEA hosts a TechNet Asia-Pacific conference in Hawaii each year, with many distinguished guest speakers and exhibitors. The Hawaiian Kids were invited  by the Robotics Organizing Committee (ROC) to be an exhibitor, along with other fellow high schools with some sort of robotics program.

Members of the team that attended this grand event all took part in listening to lectures and talking to interested visitors about our program. Our team also got to collect sample merchandise from vendors such as Adobe, Hewlett Packard, and IBM, which was very exciting. The day was very successful for The Hawaiian Kids as they got to educate many about the wonders of FIRST, VEX, and the Waialua Robotics Program.
