Greeted with lots of hospitality and aloha, the Waialua Robotics Program traveled all the way to Kahala Nui on Saturday, October 29, 2011 to do a robot demonstration and presentation for the elderly. They were interested in learning more about our team and we were delighted to go there and share our knowledge and experiences.

Mr. Lee explained our program including what we do and how it all got started. He shared two videos during his presentation, the 2011 Chairman’s Award video and the 2011 End of the Year video. We received compliments saying the videos were “really professional” and that it “captured the energy of the young ones and how much you [Team 359] enjoy it.” Following the video presentations was a quick demo of our 2011 season robot, Ho’okahi. The whole team answered any questions the elderly had and eventually thanked them for having us. The Hawaiian Kids take pride in what they do and they always enjoy sharing their experiences with others.
