Week Two
Aloha! Welcome to the Second week of the 2026 REBUILT Build Season!
Check out our Week Two recap on Youtube!
Day 9
We are back and it's the ninth day of build season! Construction started the day with making shelves and reorganizing resources in their facility, while CADing and continuing to build the alpha bot for Control Systems, and then handing it off to them. Control Systems started the day with preparing for the robot and was given to work on it by Construction before starting the wiring for the alpha bot. Business, Media, and Documentation started to take photos and videos for week two, already collecting the clips for the week two video. They also were finalizing the week one vid to make sure it's perfect before release. We start the week with energy and hardship, but continue to strive!
Day 10
Today was a more uneventful day despite it being the tenth day of build season. Control systems were busying themselves with wiring the alpha bot to make sure it’s perfect. Construction spent their entire day CADing more necessary parts for the robot itself and then continuing to make some afterwards. Business, Media, and Documentation continued to take photos and videos of the week, collecting clips for the week 2 video. Even if this day was more uneventful than others, we still continue to work hard and push!
Day 11
It's the eleventh day of build season, however it was another uneventful day for this week. Control systems were not as busy as the day before, but got prepared once again for the alpha bot. Construction was making more extra parts for the robot and water jetting them, while also CADing more of the parts and finishing up the alpha bot with new parts for Control Systems. Business, Media, and Documentation were continuing to take photos and video clips for the week, busying themselves with what comes their way. Even if today was more uneventful, it was still a great work day and we can't wait to see what's next!
Day 12
On day 12 of build season, control systems tested the capabilities of the alpha bot’s drivetrain and intake, and began tuning drivetrain, vision, hood, and shooter constants. Once the final hood print is done, they can start fully testing the alpha bot. The construction subteam was busy, juggling multiple activities at once. They were finalising the CAD for the practice robot, making minor tweaks to ensure it is designed correctly. They began to make the bumpers for the alphabot, which is used for practice. Business, Media, and Documentation practised presenting for the FIA, receiving comments on what they did well and what they could improve on. They then continued taking photos and videos, capturing moments for our weekly recaps. And we wish a very happy birthday to the founder and mentor of our team, Mr Lee! Our team celebrated with a cake, singing him a happy birthday, and gifting him a custom banner!
Day 13
It’s the thirteenth day of build season and we're already halfway through week two! Control Systems busied themselves with testing the new index and shooter on the alpha bot within the practice field to make sure it’s up to its fullest potential. Construction continued finalising the CAD for the practice robot for the majority of the day, while also making more extra parts on the side, water jetting, milling, and measuring them to make sure they’re designed just right for the robot. Business, Media, and Documentation continued to take photos and videos, and took clips for the week two recap video. We can’t believe it's halfway to week two already, but we continue to be hard at work!
Day 14
On day fourteen of build season, Construction busied themselves with making extra robot parts, CADing, Water jetting, and Milling them, making minor adjustments to the robot CAD, building more of the practice field for Control systems, and gave them back the alpha bot with a new motor. The Control systems subteam started the day by wiring said new motor on the alpha bot, then also tested the shooter capabilities on our practice field and coded it on the fly. Business, Media, and Documentation continued to take photos and videos throughout the week, taking more clips and starting to work on the week 2 recap video. They also redid some of our Executive Summary Questions. We’ve been on a grind throughout this week, and we can’t wait for you to see our progress!
Day 15
It’s day fifteen of build season! The Control Systems subteam started their day with calibrating the limelights on the alphabot making sure it’s ready to use, testing the capabilities of the drive train on our practice field, to then take back into our facilities to rewire it. The Construction subteam continued to make more adjustments to the robot on CAD, while also creating and waterjetting adjustment robot parts to use in case one fails. They also taught students how to use more of the various machines. The Business, Media, and Documentation subteam took more photos and clips for the day and to be used for the week 2 recap, while also editing it. They updated the website, edited the First Impact Award presentation, practiced it, and continued to redo some of our Executive Summary Questions. We ended the day with eating dinner, and having a great time. It’s the end of the week and we can’t wait to see what the future holds!
