Week Four
Aloha! Welcome to the Fourth week of the 2026 REBUILT Build Season!
Check out our Week Four recap on Youtube!
Day 23
Week four has started up, and we are already hard at work without a second to waste! Control Systems and Construction collaborated again, prototyping and coding the robot. They tested the systems and redesigned them, ensuring they could work as well as possible. Additionally, they continued pocketing and milling. The Business, Media, and Documentation subteam finalyzed the Week 3 video, which will be published tomorrow! We had a great start for Week 4, and there is more to come!
Day 24
On day twenty four of build season, the Control Systems subteam were not as busy as today, however they formatted USB drives, and started rewiring the practice robot. The Construction subteam continued CADing more adjustment designs and continued pocketing and laser cutting more parts for the practice robot in hopes to finalize the ideas from it to be used for the main season robot. The Business, Media, and Documentation subteam continued to take photos and videos for this week. Even if this was a slower day than before, we continue to make progress throughout build season!
Day 25
On day twenty five of build season, the Construction subteam continued CADing more adjustments to the practice robot and continued working on more parts, CNC and laser cutting them. They also finished assembling updated devices and made bumpers for the practice robot. Once they finished making the updated devices, they handed it over to The Control Systems subteam who then continued rewiring it. The Business, Media, and Documentation subteam continued to take photos and video clips and practiced the First Impact Award presentation. The day comes to an end, and we continue to strive through the week!
Day 26
It’s halfway through week 4, and day twenty-six of build season! The Control Systems subteam continued wiring the practice robot, ensuring that it’s fully updated and ready for use. The Construction subteam continued to CAD the final rendition of the robot, adding adjustments from previous testing. Additionally, they continued lathing and laser-cutting more adjustable parts for the practice robot. Business, Media, and Documentation continued to take more photos, collecting video clips to be used in our week 4 recap video, and reviewing the Executive Summary Questions. We will strive to continue our hard work!
Day 27
It's day twenty-five of build season, and our students are eager to make some progress! The Control Systems subteam continued wiring the robot, cutting and stripping wires, and installing housings. They made sure they were as precise as possible, as even one mistake could cause them to restart. The Construction subteam resumed CAD work on the robot, making small adjustments and tweaks to the design. Business, Media, and Documentation captured today’s progress, taking pictures and video clips for use in the Weekly Recap. In addition, they designed and printed a card for their mentor, Mr. Menor, and collected signatures and happy-birthday wishes! The day has come to an end, and we can’t wait to pick up the progress again tomorrow!
Day 28
On day twenty-eight of build season, we continue our momentum! The Control Systems subteam continued wiring the practice robot, attaching new cameras to it and testing it out. The Construction subteam resumed CADing for the robot itself, making minor adjustments to the design. They were also making more parts that were designed for the robot, Lathing, CNC, milling, and cutting those said parts. The Business, Media, and Documentation subteam took photos of today’s hard work. Taking clips to be used in the week 4 recap video, additionally starting to edit it. Today was a more eventful type of day, and we can’t wait to see what challenges we face next!
Day 29
It’s the last day of week 4, and it’s day twenty-six! The Control Systems subteam was responsible for running the subsystems of the practice robot, in addition to setting up the wiring for the main season robot. The Construction subteam resumed with CADing the robot and also resumed production of additional parts by lathing, waterjetting, milling, laser cutting, and CNC machining. The Business, Media, and Documentation subteam took more photos of today’s hard work and recorded more video clips for the week 4 recap video. The team finalised the week 4 recap video, filmed the interviews to be included, and continued to fix the Executive Summary Questions. With this week coming to an end, we can’t wait to see what challenges we face next!
